Doreen Kronick All Children Are Exceptional: Learning as Connecting (Bright Ideas) Scholastic 1993 0590743880 / 9780590743884 Soft Cover Fine No Jacket 0590743880 72 pages including references. A book about relationships. The first section draws upon author's memory of four months of her own teaching experience. She focusses upon a few of the students, describing how she related to them and the questions she asked herself as she taught them. In later sections she explains why she saw them the way she did, why they tackled certain activities and not others, and why she thinks these kids have a message for all teachers and parents. Because people differ, they may function with ease or difficulty in different areas. She firmly believes that real teaching and real learning is a collaborative processs that relates all knowledge and it is this process she has tried to describe in the book. Author founded the Ontario and Canadian Learning Disabilities Associations and is active in both. She is particularly interested in social deficits and interventions and in the connectedness of all things. Price:
