151 pages. The classic tale of an ill-tempered little princess. Red and blue illustration upon beige cloth front board. Complete with all sixteen glorious colour plates by J.R. Clay. Charming sketches by Ruth Elliott Newon in text on almost every other page. Front free endpaper neatly removed. Half-inch chip from fore-edge of half-title page. Yellowed tape repair to page 75. Tape repair to upper corner of colour plate at page 100 just touches upper right corner. Colour plate at page 120 secured in place by yellowed tape - plate unaffected. Above-average external wear and soiling. Two-inch opening at foot of backstrip along back board. Unmarked. Binding aging but intact. Back hinge starting. Modest lean to spine. A worthy copy of this beloved vintage work.
