A fascinating book about wartime politics, military strategies, and the birth pains of an independent U.S. Air Force - which was forged in fire over Brest, Schweinfurt, and Berlin. The story of a handful of air commanders who risked all for what they believed, at the conference table and in the cockpit. Prior owner's bookplate upon front endpaper else unmarked. Very light wear. Clean and unmarked. Small tears and moderate edgewear to dust jacket. Excellent copy.
